Just in time for tax season, The Township has recently completed some radio work for Tandia Financial. The two spots, which feature the familiar and funny fast talking money characters, focus on Tandia’s RRSP and TFSA offerings.
A sold out crowd in Puerto Rico!
Earlier this month, Karen temporarily traded Canada’s crisp fall air for a warmer climate. She was invited to speak at the 2018 SME Marketing Summit, Puerto Rico’s premiere conference for the advertising and marketing industry. Karen had the pleasure of presenting the keynote speech to a sold out crowd of over 500 professionals who brought an incredible energy to that room.
What’s more though, as Karen noted, was seeing how San Juan has recovered since Hurricane Maria. It was breathtaking to see how the country had banded together to rebuild after was is regarded as the worst natural disaster on record to affect Puerto Rico.

In anticipation of her talk at the 2018 SME Marketing Summit Karen was interviewed by Puerto Rican publication elnuevodia.com. In it, she discussed the role of emotions in consumer decision making, diversity in advertising and hackvertising.
Decoding Cannes in Puerto Rico
Later this week, Karen will be heading to Puerto Rico. Her bags are packed full of insights from Cannes to share at the 2018 SME Marketing Summit. On October 17, over 400 advertising and marketing executives will be in attendance to hear from her and other speakers from Brazil, Mexico, the United States and the Dominican Republic.

LIA Judging: Final Day
It’s been an inspiring week. We’ve done a ruthless edit and the cream has risen to the top. The “did-I-wish-I’d-done-it-myself?” question was an ideal lens to view the work through. Was it fresh? Did it look at the brand or category in a new way? Glad to see the elevation in the craft of writing and art direction this year. Equally glad that the fabled politics in judging rooms remained, indeed, a fable. In the end, bravery has been recognized. And the bar has been set higher for all.
